Vacation Bible School Kick-Off Planning Meeting 26th April

Monday evening will be the first Vacation Bible School meeting. Anyone interested in helping with any part of VBS should attend the meeting. Your input is important. If you want to help and can not come to this meeting, please contact Karen Woods.

Vacation Bible School will be on four Wednesdays, June 30-July 21 from 6 pm to 8 pm (Wednesday Worship was kind enough to let us have this time).

You are cordially invited to attend our annual tea party

Advance tickets are suggested but tickets will be available at the door. There is a sign up in the narthex if you can donate finger food, sweet or savory. We also need tea pots to use. They can be picked up after the tea. All table settings will be provided, unless you want to bring your own. If so, let us know. We are looking for volunteers to help decorate the tables. Please let us know if you can help. Ask friends and family, and reserve a table. We will have prizes, entertainment and lots of food. Please call Karen, Pam, Tina, Julia or Shirley if you have any questions.

Please Help Us in Our Much Needed Ministry

We lead 70-75 people in 3 worship songs, then using a portable microphone, Pastor Lee and/or Rev. Walters preach a short message. Then the families and individuals line up to receive food and beverages. They gather for about an hour. Those from our church and those from Pastor Lee’s church, fan out and meet the people, learn of their circumstances, and counsel with them as best we can. We have a chef that takes the food we gather and makes a delicious meal for the homeless people gathered that day. On Easter Sunday we will also be adding the opportunity for those who desire baptism to come forward and give their lives to Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray for this vital ministry. Anything you can do to help would be such a blessing.

Items Needed are:

o Donations to help purchase food to make sandwiches, soup, coffee, sugar, coffee, creamer

o Sandwich baggies, Styrofoam coffee cups, napkins, foam soup bowls, plastic spoons

o Individually wrapped single serving chips, muffins, canned soda of any kind, coffee stirrers, large trash bags

o Gently used seasonal clothing for men and women

o Hygiene products, combs, brushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, bar soap, washrags

Brother can you spare a sack...

The T.E.A.M cupboards are nearly empty in a time when there are record needs in our community. There are brown grocery bags in the NarthEx with a list of needed items. This way you'll have your bag and your list all in one place. Please take a bag, fill it with what you can and return it to the T.E.A.M barrel. Here is the list in case you missed the bags: Helpers - Tune, Chicken, or hamburger; Canned meat - small hams, chicken, Spam or Treet tomales, etc.;Dry packaged potatoes - any flavor or kind; Dry pasta - spaghetti, fettuccini, lasagna, and macaroni etc.; Flavored rice;Dry flavored noodles; Jello/Pudding; Stuffing - any kind. Thank you for your generosity! And God Bless!

Thank You! Toda! Danke! Gracias! Merci! Grazie! Arigato!

Thanks to everone who supported the Easter Breakfast. We served 80 people and contributed $80.10 to the general fund after deducting the cost of food and decorations. As usual, the men did a great job with the food. Thanks Again. Shirley Hamilton / Fellowship

The Easter Bunny sends many thanks to all of you for the candy and plastic eggs that were donated. There was so much generosity that after our children had a great time, the extras were donated to TEAM.

Put Yourself in the Picture

The web page needs pictures of your smiling face. There are pictures of stuff, but not many pictures of people! Close-up pictures of faces work best. Oh, and we need the people in the photo to agree to have their pictures out on the internet.

"All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up."
