Christian Church Under the Broom Tree
On Sunday, December 27th we welcomed Pastor Lee, his wife Sarah, daugther Grace and son John. They are all settled in their apartment in Marland Heights. Christian Church Under the Broom Tree has begun their schedule for worship, prayer and Bible study.
We are happy that they have finally arrived and Grace and John have begun school. They said they were looking forward to their new life in St. Louis.
Homeless Ministry
Pastor Lee and his congregation have begun a ministry to the homeless people of St. Louis. They go downtown on Sunday afternoons following their worship service and distribute food and drink to the homeless indiviuals they encounter.
If you would like to help with this ministry, you could donate soda, bottled water, coffee, snacks, bread, sandwich meat or money. Items not neededing refrigeration may be left by the door to Pastor Lee's office. Items needing refigeration should be left in plastic bags labeled "Pastor Lee" in the refrigator and a note should be placed on Pastor Lee's door telling him of the presence of those items. If you would like to donate money, you could leave cash or checks made out to Christian Church Under the Broom Tree in Pastor Lee's mailbox in the library.
